Do you feel trapped by your past?
Many people feel trapped by their past experiences, believing that their history defines them and limits their ability to change. They struggle with self-blame, regret, or unresolved pain, making it difficult to move forward in their life and relationship.
I help clients reframe their past experiences with self-compassion and a strengths-based approach. Through therapy, we explore your narratives, identify patterns, and develop coping strategies that empower you to break free from limiting beliefs.
You will gain a renewed sense of agency over your lives and relationship, allowing you to heal, grow and create a future that is not dictated by your past.
Client Focus: I work with couples, individuals, families and children
Issues: With couples, I support you with communication and conflict management
Types of Therapy: I have completed Level One in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Experience:
I am a Master of Social Work (MSW) Candidate with the University of Toronto, specializing in Mental Health and Health. I have experience counselling children with developmental disabilities, supporting suicidal and trauma-affected teens, and working with older adults managing chronic illness. I am also currently learning about Family Mediation.
I am currently serving as the Year One Representative for the 2024-2025 academic year. I am a recipient of the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work Graduate Scholarship (2024-2025) and the SSHRC CGS-M, a one-year graduate scholarship supporting research on abortion care and reproductive justice.
More than just my work:
In the summer of 2024, I embarked on a four-month backpacking adventure across Southern Europe. Some of my most unforgettable experiences include road-tripping through the South of France in a minivan, working on a remote Italian vineyard, and soaring in a hot air balloon over the Turkish mountains at sunrise!
